Volunteers play a very important role in our mission. We have a variety of ways that you can help out at Kenzie's CLOSET!
During "Prom Season" (between the months of March through April) we offer multiple shopping opportunities after school from 3-6:00 pm and one Saturday option, as well.
Primarily, we seek volunteers of all ages (high school through adult) to assist with boutique activities.
Volunteer Roles
SO MANY WAYS TO HELP!
HIGH SCHOOL
VOLUNTEER
High school volunteers are needed to help with stocking of dresses and helping with our shoe room and jewelry counter as well as providing valuable peer feedback and support. You may even receive school credit for community service hours - check with your school administration for details.
VOLUNTEER MERCHANDISER
Like all retail shops, we have inventory to maintain, dresses to return to racks and shoes to organize. On Shopping Days, you'll assist with returning dresses to racks, finding shoe sizes, assisting with jewelry and other duties. On non-shopping days, groups of school, corporate, church and community groups can arrange for a work day in our boutique. You'll help us get everything in order, looking dazzling for the girls when they arrive!
SEAMSTRESS
VOLUNTEER
We are extremely fortunate to have some very talented seamstresses on hand for each shopping day! Volunteers in our sewing room help tailor a dress, hem, add details, and make the dresses fit like a dream! If you have a talent for sewing and would like to help us make each dress become The Dress...join us! We have sewing machines and materials available on site.
EVENT
VOLUNTEER
We have our large annual fundraiser, "Paint the City Pink," in February as well as a variety of opportunities throughout the year for smaller events and community donation drives. Volunteers assist in a variety of ways with event prep, manning tables at events, and many other duties which will vary by each individual opportunity.
OUTREACH
VOLUNTEER
Help us spread the word about Kenzie's Closet! You'll be our ambassador at a variety of places such as schools, local events, fundraisers, company donation drives and everything in between. Outreach Volunteers will help with set-up of our table and promotional materials, dress/accessories samples and will be present and available to answer questions, discuss our mission and collect donations.
