HOSTESS FAQ'S

Girl’s Night IN has been re-imagined in 2021 as a virtual pajama party to accommodate Covid-19 restrictions on large group events.   But that won’t stop us from having the best party in town!  Signature elements of the event will remain (such as our fabulous signature designer purse raffles, music, and fun).  But, we’ll be joined together by the magic of technology, partying with friends and supporting the mission from the comfort of our own homes!

 

Hostesses will serve a much larger, more impactful role this year.  Girls Night IN will be a webcast, which we will simulcast live from a studio!  Hostesses will be provided with the necessary elements to participate in a virtual event from their individual homes with their party guests.  We expect the length of the live program to run approximately 45 minutes.   The program will include DJ-hosted music, mission presentations, sponsorship commercials, raffle drawings and other important announcements. 

 

HOW WILL THIS WILL WORK?

  • We are seeking 30 - 50 hostesses to host a Girls Night IN pajama party of up to 10 (asking 8-9 guests).  Hostesses will pay $100 and will receive a “Party Box” of supplies, which will include a Chromecast adapter and password-protected link to the event, champagne, our signature GNO cookies, napkins, yard sign, party props, and other fun stuff with which to participate in the event.  Party Boxes may also include items from our sponsors.  (Please note: Instructions will be provided on how to hook-up the adapter)

 

  • Guests to your party will be asked to purchase raffle tickets, song requests and “prom packs.”  Online raffle tickets and other donation items will be available and will not be a function of the Hostess to collect fees.

 

  • House Parties can be held ANYWHERE!  Whether you live in Cincinnati, Charlotte, Chicago or California anyone can attend Girls Night IN and host a pajama party. 

 

  • This party will take place at your home or place of business as appropriate.  For example, someone may run a retail shop or art studio or have space at their business or favorite private club that might lend itself to host a party.  

 

  • Each Pajama Party will have a goal of raising $1,000 (via registration, raffle tickets, etc).  Hostesses will be entered to win a throw blanket and sleep mask from Fabulous Furs! 

 

  • The Party Boxes will be delivered to each house (via volunteers or a courier/delivery service depending on location) to ensure they arrive safely the day of or the day before the event. 

 

  • To join the event, you will use the Chromecast adapter (if you elect to do so) to mirror our program on your larger screen tv so that the group may more easily enjoy the action. 

 

DO WE HAVE TO WEAR PAJAMAS?

  • We certainly hope you do!  But it’s up to Hostesses to create a theme that works best for them and their guests.  The location selected may dictate fashion for the evening!  Still make it fun with theme elements and props as you can in spirit of the event.

 

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD OR ANOTHER QUARANTINE EMERGES?

  • We have designed the program so that individuals may still attend from their homes, if necessary, to enjoy the program and raffles.   Should that occur we will contact our event guests with further information.

 

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM ENTAIL?

  • Programming will run in a similar fashion to Girls Night Out.  

  • We will ask guests to tune in via their Chromecast/password at 7:00 p.m. 

    • Welcome Remarks

    • Thank you to Hostesses, Sponsors, and all participants

    • Introduction of those present at the Live Party (Amanda Bentley Fessler, Kathy McDonald, Natalie Jones, Peter Frey and special guests)

    • Live DJ spinning songs, taking recommendations, providing entertainment

    • Mission video, special guests, surprises

    • Live Raffle Drawings and Other Prize Drawings/Announcements

 

WILL THERE BE RAFFLES THIS YEAR?

  • We will be offering our signature designer handbags raffle again this year as well as our fun “experience raffles”

  • We will announce the winners of the raffle items live on-air and will arrange for pick-up/delivery of winning items individually.

 

WHAT ARE BENEFITS OF HOSTING A PARTY?

  • Hostesses will be featured prominently on the invitation, during the event and on all promotional, social media and marketing.

  • You will receive a customized invitation to share the details of your pajama-themed party with your besties.

  • All Hostesses will be automatically entered to win an exclusive surprise gift as a thank you for your hard work!

  • Hostesses will be given the opportunity to record a special thank you video message to be broadcast during the event and posted on social media.

  • Hostesses will play a HUGE role in helping us achieve our fundraising goal to empower girls at Kenzie’s Closet!
