WHO IS KENZIE?

Kenzie's Story

"Every girl should feel wonderful on her prom night."

Kenzie had an infectious personality, a twinkle in her eye, and a knack for making new friends wherever she went.

She loved helping others and trying to make a difference in people's lives whenever possible.  She was known for her wide grin, a tendency to dance on tables, laugh out loud, admire butterflies and pink roses, and was an all-around great friend and listener to all who knew her!   Tragically, she lost her life in a single car accident on her way to a friend's house, a week before her senior year. She never got to go to her senior prom.

Brynne Coletti, the founder of Kenzie's Closet, named her non-profit organization in Kenzie's memory. Her mission was to help young ladies with a current financial need to be able to attend their dream prom night and to date, we've dressed over 5,000 girls in Kenzie's name!

We celebrate Kenzie Comisar every year when we open our doors for “shopping season” at Kenzie's Closet. As every dress walks out the door we are remembering what life is all about and what Kenzie believed in... "Every girl should feel wonderful on her prom night."
